Doç. Dr. Nureddin NEBATİ Science Committee Member

Former Finance and Treasury Minister Nureddin Nebati was born on January 1, 1964 in Viransehir, Sanliurfa. His father’s name is Süleyman and his mother’s name is Emine. A specialist in political science, Nebati graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Public Administration. He received his Master’s degree in International Relations from the Institute of Social Sciences at the same university. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science and Public Administration from the Institute of Social Sciences of Kocaeli University.

After working in the textile industry, Nebati operated a gas station business. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of MUSIAD Headquarters and the Disciplinary Board of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO). He is currently a member of the High Advisory Board of MUSIAD. He is also a member of Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences Alumni Foundation and Association, Knowledge Dissemination Society, Ensar, TUGVA, ONDER and UTESAV.

He was elected as a member of the Central Executive Committee at the 4th Ordinary Congress of the AK Party. As a member of the Central Executive Committee, he served as Head of Financial and Administrative Affairs of the AK Party Headquarters and Deputy Chairman of the General Assembly between 2014 and 2015.

He was elected as a deputy for Istanbul in the 24th and 26th parliamentary terms, for Sanliurfa in the 25th parliamentary term and for Mersin in the 28th parliamentary term. Nebati, who served as deputy minister of treasury and finance between 2018 and 2021, became minister of treasury and finance between December 2021 and June 2023.

Nebati, who speaks intermediate English and a little Arabic, is married with 4 children.
